Our client, a well-known site in Toronto is seeking a Stationary Engineer to join their team! We are seeking candidates with experience working as a Building Operator or Stationary Engineer who have  their 3rd Class Power Engineer certificate.

Our client offers a 4-day 40 hour work week with a competitive compensation package, benefits and this role is unionized.

Candidates must be available to work weekends, with working days being Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the 4th day throughout the week. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Execute on-demand maintenance tasks for HVAC, refrigeration, and associated systems.
• Conduct daily inspections of equipment and provide suggestions for enhancements or repairs as necessary.
• Analyze the water chemistry of chilled/condenser water and heating systems.
• Guarantee the safe and effective functioning of equipment, with a focus on emergency response protocols.
• Oversee and operate intricate operational systems, encompassing fire alarms, building electrical systems, and energy management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a valid Stationary Engineer (3rd class) license.
• At least five years of pertinent experience in maintaining building, electrical, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems within a large building complex.
• Comprehensive knowledge of operational systems, including Siemens Fire Alarm, J.C. Metasys Systems, Johnson Pneumatic Controls, emergency diesel generators, building electrical and fire protection systems, HVAC, lighting automation, and energy conservation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work weekends is required.
