As a Financial Compliance Officer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, contributing to the safety and security of consumers. This dynamic role offers a blend of on-site inspections, regulatory analysis, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough financial statement bench reviews to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Plan and execute on-site inspections of registrants across Ontario, meticulously documenting compliance issues.
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments and prepare detailed reports outlining non-compliance findings.
• Correspond professionally with registrants regarding compliance issues and necessary corrective actions, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
• Maintain meticulous compliance records and escalate issues requiring further action to management for resolution.
• Provide clear and concise guidance to stakeholders on regulatory requirements and best practices, fostering transparency and understanding.
• Attend hearings as needed to support enforcement actions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• CPA, or CIA designation an asset; audit experience beneficial.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Customer service-oriented approach to handling challenging situations, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and analytical judgment, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with the travel industry and relevant regulations is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and databases.
