Our team is currently looking for strategic and results-focused Business Developers with 1+ years of relatable sales, business development, or customer service experience, to play a key role in our growth strategy. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building, developing and nurturing new partnerships and client relationships. We believe that a strong self-starter with a sales drive, paired with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a proven ability to inspire, engage, and negotiate with potential clients/customers, are essential for success in this seat.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Identifying, prospecting and generating new business opportunities to reach sales targets and drive revenue growth  
  • Building networks and spheres of influence in order to grow prospect lists  
  • Conducting thorough market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities and competitive landscapes across Canada  
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key hiring decision-makers and influencers through frequent client meetings and touchpoints 
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to showcase our services to prospective and current clients, while addressing client hiring needs  
  • Demonstrating our value and expertise by effectively marketing top talent to prospective clients 
  • Actively participating in industry events, conferences, and career fairs to enhance brand visibility, grow professional networks, establish industry connections, and increase our diverse customer pipeline  
  • Continuously staying updated on industry/market trends and competitor activities and sharing your insights with the team 
  • Sourcing business opportunities with former, existing, and new accounts, while also monitoring growth and success 
  • Setting account growth plans by gaining a deep understanding of the pain points and motivations of the client and developing a strategy around those needs and solutions  
  • Maintaining strategic customer relationships to uncover specific needs for the key decision makers through consistent follow up and engagement  
  • Identifying and converting lead job opportunities into actual job orders  
  • Negotiating and securing successful placements and navigating client objections if they arise  
  • Assisting with the transitioning of existing accounts and engaging former clients to establish meaningful relationships  
  • Preparing and reporting on goals, sales, and prospect engagement  
  • Validating and updating key sales information into our CRM system  
  • Working collaboratively with Account Managers/Executives and Recruitment Partners to ensure a strategic search plan is in place and client expectations are met  
  • Attending client kick offs and service delivery review presentations  
  • Acting consultatively by highlighting Altis content including webinars, blog posts, etc.  
  • Cross-selling and introducing clients to relevant business lines  
  • Building and connecting with existing and new clients through engaging LinkedIn content  
  • Maximizing sales tools like ZoomInfo and LinkedIn 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field  
  • Proven track record of 1+ years of successful sales, business development or customer service experience, preferably in a B2B environment  
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets and objectives  
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills  
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously  
  • Tech savvy with confidence to work with CRM software and other sales productivity tools  
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills  
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed, with a proactive and positive mindset  
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, outreach and target-driven environment (100 dials per day)
