Job Description

Our client in the nonprofit sector is seeking a fulltime Senior Executive Officer to join their team!

Reporting directly to the CEO, you plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive executive support while serving as a key advisor and liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders. This position oversees strategic initiatives, manages critical communications, and ensures seamless coordination of executive functions.

This is a fully remote role with occasional travel within Canada. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Participate in all CEO meetings, offering strategic perspectives, summarizing discussions, and monitoring follow-up actions.
  • Manage the CEO's agenda, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and distributing relevant materials.
  • Foster communication and teamwork among executive team members to ensure their alignment with organizational goals.
  • Act as the CEO's gatekeeper, handling correspondence, screening calls, and prioritizing requests.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to devise and execute strategic initiatives, overseeing project schedules and key milestones.
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to inform decision-making, distilling complex data into actionable insights.
  • Craft and review executive briefs, presentations, and reports for internal and external audiences, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Serve as the main liaison for both internal and external stakeholders, representing the CEO's office with professionalism.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key partners to promote collaboration and advance organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate executive communications, including drafting and reviewing correspondence, speeches, and presentations for the CEO.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 8-10 years of advancing experience in a comparable position, showcasing adeptness in strategic planning and organizational administration.
  • Vast background in offering executive assistance to senior management, inclusive of engagement at the board level. 
  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal abilities, effectively engaging with a wide array of stakeholders such as senior executives, board members, and external partners.
  • Exhibits discretion and integrity in managing sensitive and confidential information, upholding the utmost standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Possesses robust analytical and problem-solving aptitude, foreseeing requirements, recognizing opportunities, and suggesting inventive resolutions.
  • Displays outstanding communication proficiencies, encompassing both verbal and written skills, with a meticulous focus on detail and precision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other pertinent software applications.
  • Initiates proactive actions and operates with self-direction, showcasing the capability to function autonomously and cooperatively within a dynamic, high-paced setting
Education
  • Universtiy or College Degree in Administration, Business, or related field.
