Job Description

We are working with a Federal Government client seeking a Senior Business Process Consultant to join their team on a remote 1-year contract (Potential for extension by up to 5 additional years)


Roles and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
  • Analyzing business functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows;
  • Prototyping potential solutions, scenarios, providing trade off information and suggesting a recommended course of action;
  • Identifying and analyzing gaps (comparing “as is” and “to be”) based on a consistent set of criteria (turnaround time, costs, etc.) to determine processes for re-design and improvement;
  • Identifying, recommending and planning new processes or modifications to existing processes;
  • Identifying and providing preliminary costs/benefit scenarios of potential options;
  • Identifying key initiatives to enable the organization to deploy high-impact business processes that are focused, accountable and measurable;
  • Identifying new requirements and opportunities for applying efficient and effective solutions;
  • Developing and integrating process and information models between processes to eliminate information and process redundancies;
  • Documenting workflows and mapping existing processes using business, workflow and organizational tools;
  • Developing and documenting new processes and documenting processes changes and impact;
  • Developing and/or assisting in implementing new processes;
  • Developing policies, procedures and guidelines;
  • Advising Information Technology (IT) groups on business requirements;
  • Developing training and information sessions and mentoring on business processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in the last ten (10) years providing advice in developing and integrating process and information models between processes to eliminate information and process redundancies
  • A relevant Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
  • Experience interviewing or facilitating focus groups comprised of stakeholders involved in processes and graphically documenting these processes
