Our client within the distributor industry is seeking a Sales Support candidate to join their team on a permanent basis. This is requires you to work fully on-site, located in Etobicoke, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Take charge of crafting customized category assessments for retailers, conducting thorough analyses of product assortments, crafting compelling narratives for new product introductions, and assessing promotional effectiveness, all within strict deadlines
- Skillfully use Category Management Principles to simplify complicated data from different places into easy-to-understand ideas.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to develop accurate forecasts for company performance.
- Manages and updates the Supplier Database and filing system for accuracy and easy access.
- Oversees the annual contract renewal process, including sending requests to suppliers and managing updated trade programs.
Skillfully use Category Management Principles to simplify complicated data from different places into easy-to-understand ideas.
- Helps with vendor negotiations when needed.
- Generates and analyzes reports in the internal system to assist the Director and members.
- Interprets Nielsen data and provides recommendations to Business Development Directors and members.
- Communicates program tracking updates and growth recommendations to members.
- Reviews supplier program proposals and their impacts.
- Maintains various tracking reports and coordinates procurement updates.
- Manages renewal processes for private brands and exclusivity programs.
- Aids in the onboarding process for new members and sourcing potential new suppliers.
- Acts as a backup for Directors of Business Development.
- Organizes and supports all Member meetings, including the annual Supplier dinner.
- Works on the company Annual Supplier Awards, including identifying recipients and coordinating with the President.
- Helps with the Merchandising Committee agenda and attendance coordination.
- Sends out meeting agenda requests and tracks responses.
- Liaises with the Merchandising Committee for meeting follow-ups and communication.
- Prepares letters and reminders for Suppliers presenting at meetings and manages attendance tracking.
- Prepares name badges as needed for meetings.
