Job Description

On behalf of our public sector client, we are looking for a Sr. Project Manager (IT)  for a 2-year contract, with possible extension. This is a primarily remote position, going onsite every 6 months for large meetings.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Developing and managing all aspects of project and program engagement, including planning, vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, and risk management.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders and scheduling meetings to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Creating briefing notes, meeting minutes, presentations, and other essential documents.
  • Supporting team members in analyzing industry engagement surveys.
  • Managing tasks, action items, and escalations as needed.
  • Bridging communication between external stakeholders, departments, and Technology and Innovation teams.
  • Coordinating approvals, sign-offs, and maintaining engagement trackers.
  • Responding to stakeholder requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Providing direction to cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Tracking scope and timelines for product delivery, analyzing progress, and reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree, Diploma, or Certification in Project Management (Senior PM).
  • 8 years of experience in project management roles.
  • Experience managing software application development projects with at least 5 team members.
  • Proficiency in meeting facilitation, risk assessments, scoping, and defining project goals.
  • Prior experience with project deliverables and managing projects in large and complex environments
  • Experience working in the public sector and collaborating with staff, contractors, and vendor teams.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools in a project server environment.
  • Experience leading Change Management and Communication planning.
  • Expertise in executive stakeholder maintenance and creating project forecasts.
