Job Opportunity: Experienced IT Project Manager
Are you an accomplished IT Project Manager seeking an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills? Our client is currently looking for a dynamic individual to join their team in the Digital & Information Services (D&IS) division. This is a one-year term position with the potential for extension.
Position Overview:
As the IT Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing IT projects and/or programs within our organization. From strategic planning to implementation, you will provide leadership, direction, and project management expertise to ensure the successful delivery of major project initiatives. Your responsibilities will include overseeing project activities, managing project scope, coordinating with external vendors, and providing guidance to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of initiatives spanning various areas within the D&IS division.
- Contribute to project plans and strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Supervise day-to-day project activities, ensuring compliance with procedures and policies.
- Define and manage project scope to meet time, cost, and quality targets.
- Coordinate with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
- Delegate tasks effectively to project team members.
- Provide guidance and support to project team members and leads.
- Identify and manage project risks.
- Anticipate and address project issues, recommending corrective actions as needed
- Plan and execute project communication to stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in program and project management, particularly in IT-driven initiatives.
- Familiarity with agile and traditional project management principles.
- Understanding of corporate divisions/functions and their interconnectivity.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle models.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects within defined constraints.
- Excellent facilitation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Track record of delivering projects satisfactorily, meeting stakeholder needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project).
- Outstanding communication and documentation abilities.
- Flexibility, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Experience in delivering complex projects with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset.
- Advanced knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts and technology.
- Familiarity with IT Software and Hardware Asset, and CMDB is a plus.
- Knowledge of insurance principles and practices is beneficial.
