Software Tester 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester Level 2 to join our federal government client in supporting a significant governmental project aimed at enhancing public safety and cybersecurity. This is a dynamic role within a project that leverages cutting-edge technology and strategies to ensure the safety and security of data and systems at a national level.

Please note that a valid federal government clearance is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate complex testing cycles for the project, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all features and functionalities.
  • Develop test scenarios and scripts that align with project objectives and technical requirements.
  • Execute both automated and manual test scripts, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze test results for accuracy and compliance, ensuring all solutions meet stringent quality standards.
  • Provide insightful feedback on requirements and system design to improve project outcomes.
  • Participate in test plan reviews, implementation readiness assessments, and other key quality assurance activities.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, contributing to the knowledge transfer and skill enhancement of team members.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing within the past 7 years, preferably in enterprise-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, testing, and documenting test results for software solutions.
  • Proven ability to work on projects that require maintenance and upgrades of large-scale applications.
  • Knowledge of Content Server, Rational ClearQuest, Rational Quality Manager, IBM Rational Functional Tester, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a detail-oriented and high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of successful teamwork.
  • Experience in public safety or related fields within the public sector.
  • Advanced experience in enterprise-scale projects beyond the minimum requirements.
  • Experience in testing and documenting OpenText Content Server environments.
