One of our Federal Government clients is looking for an Application/Software Architect for a 15 months projects to support the technical solution of the GCdocs project. The main work of this consultant is to develop, document and/or revise Architecture solutions for the GCdocs Project Architecture, which includes, but is not limited to, Infrastructure and components, System Backup and Recovery, Detailed Designs, Impact Analysis, Disaster Recovery, and Risk/Change Management.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Review and develop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, including major sub- systems, interfaces and integrations points for the
- Monitor industry trends to ensure that all solutions adopted for GCdocs operations fit with government and industry directions for technology.
- Evaluate the data requirements for processing GCdocs data and identify enterprise approach to meet these
- Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solution to meet project
- Define and document any interfaces or integration points to automate operations for the GCdocs project, to external systems and between new and existing
- Define input/output sources, including detailed plan for technical design phase, and obtain approval of the project technical option.
- Design and document in detail, using Object models and Interaction diagrams, all system components, their interfaces and operational environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ten (10) years experience in the last fifteen (15) years as an Application / Software Architect
- Experience within the federal government (The resume should include projects that have departments within the public safety portfolio. e.g. DND, RCMP, CBSA).
