Job Description

 

We are working with a non-profit client seeking a Senior Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The client is based in Ottawa, and the work will be hybrid. 

Under the direction of the Director, they plan, coordinate and manage the development and/or implementation of new applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the organization. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure that the application portfolio meets the business requirements, systems goals and fulfills end-user requirements, including but not limited to acquisition/development, implementation, support, and upgrades. They lead the Solution Architecture and Design phases of the software implementation projects and provide technical leadership to project managers and software developers.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3 years experience working in a management seat
  • 5+ years experience working as a Developer
  • 5+ years experience working with  C#, .NET stack, SQL and AZURE*
  • In managing, planning, developing, deploying, implementing and supporting enterprise-wide systems and applications
  • In systems architecture and design
  • In providing advice and support in the field of IT standards, strategies and practices
  • In developing and managing IT contracts and consulting services
  • Competencies, Skills and Abilities
  • Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, AND some years of experience in managing a team of IT professionals within a business applications development/support environment

 

Nice-to-Haves

  • Fluency in French
