Job Description

Our client, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to helping children, youth, and families in need, is seeking a highly motivated and professional Casual / On Call Receptionist to join their team. As the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff, you will play a critical role in maintaining a positive and welcoming environment.

Location: Various locations throughout Scarborough, ON - 100% On Site
Compensation: $18.00/hr
Schedule: Shifts are available from Monday to Saturday on an ON CALL basis (typically notified with 1-3 days notice)

Please note, IF you are successful in this role, a VSS (Vulnerable Security Sector) Clearance is required. However, if you do not currently possess one, Altis Recruitment can assist you with the process. Furthermore provided you have all original copies and receipt, the client will reimburse you for this expense should you be the selected candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
• Maintain the reception area and ensure it is tidy and organized
• Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry and filing
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of receptionist or administrative experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills
• Knowledge of the non-profit sector is an asset
• Available for on call and casual shifts as needed
