Job Description

Our nonprofit client, in downtown Toronto is actively seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their team on a full-time permanent basis! This is a hybrid opportunity, 3 days per week onsite is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend and uphold HR policies, procedures, and collective agreement provisions.
  • Address daily employee HR inquiries and redirect them as needed.
  • Deliver confidential administrative support to HR Vice President and Directors.
  • Generate HR reports to gain insights, ensuring the accuracy of employee files and databases.
  • Accurately and punctually handle data entry for payroll management.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts and administer the Learning Management System.
  • Contribute to HR projects, prepare documents, and manage meetings.
  • Serve as a backup for Payroll Administration, manage invoices, and track budgets.
  • Maintain organizational charts and assist in investigations.
  • Fulfill additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree; CHRP designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years in progressive HR coordinator/generalist roles.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and various technical tools, along with strong skills in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of Employment Legislation and HR processes.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
