LeverageTek is actively seeking an SAP Business Analyst for a 17-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Key Tasks
- Organize and facilitate workshops to identify and document current business processes that leverage SAP ECC today in the areas of Supply Chain, Human Capital Management, Finance, Procurement and Facilities
- Develop strategies and templates to be leveraged for mapping current business processes in a coherent manner across the program, at the appropriate level of detail required for migration assessment
- Document current business processes in the areas of Supply Chain, Human Capital Management, Finance, Procurement and Facilities. Documentation will include identification of the roles that are responsible for completing the steps in the process as well as any relevant role information (i.e. how many people currently occupy the role).
- Assist the Program Manager with coordinating the program’s business analysts to ensure current business processes across the different areas are documented consistently and accurately.
- Where required, analyze current business processes to identify gaps and opportunities to optimize
- Working with the business and 3rd party vendors, assist in documenting future state of business processes where required
- Develop test plans and test cases to be leveraged during user acceptance testing of SAP S/4HANA
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and technology partners.
- Identify and mitigate risks.
- Assist in RFP & business case efforts.
- Support organizational change management.
- Prepare and write complex project documents and reports that will involve presentations.
- Analyze highly complex problems, interpret business needs, and develop integrated, innovative solutions.
- Motivate and coach team members for high performance and act with transparency, promoting a problem-solving mindset.
Key Qualifications
Extensive Business Analysis Experience on Large, Complex IT Transformations with a Minimum 10 years of BA experience on major enterprise programs (>$10M budgets)
Hands-on experience with business process mapping and documentation across Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Facilities, and/or HCM
Proven track record supporting ERP modernization or transformation initiatives from legacy to cloud environments (SAP ECC → S/4HANA)
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, science or equivalent.
- A minimum of 10 years as a business analyst, working on complex projects with large teams, budgets, and multiple stakeholders at an executive level.
- Experience supporting transformation-type projects with budgets exceeding $10 million.
- Subject matter expertise (SME) relevant to a large IT system implementation.
- Experience supporting one or more of the following areas of business in a large IT system implementation: Finance, Procurement, Facilities, Supply Chain, Human Capital Management
- Experience managing new product or process introduction in a regulated environment is an asset.
- Experience managing and implementing process change within a unionized workforce environment is an asset.
- Experience navigating competing priorities and deadlines on complex or sensitive projects, including developing and maintaining project documents and presenting in an executive setting.
- Strong communication with an ability to build good relationships.
- Advanced verbal and written communications skills in English
- Experience in Agile teams is an asset.
- Proficiency with related software tools including Microsoft Visio, Excel, PowerPoint.
