Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking Labourers with Earthwork Experience for work at our Compost project in Calgary, AB

• Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
• Location: Calgary, AB
• Schedule: Monday - Friday

What You Will Be Working On

• Plan and execute operation activities to avoid schedule delays
• Operate Equipment in tight work areas and in proximity of workers
• Assist in daily safety meetings
• Assist with excavation, backfilling, grading, and compaction tasks.
• Operate small tools and equipment such as plate compactors, jackhammers, and laser levels.
• Support equipment operators and site supervisors with daily tasks.
• Load and unload materials and maintain a clean and organized worksite.
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Read and interpret site plans or instructions from supervisors.
• Perform basic site measurements and layout tasks as needed.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 2 years experience in construction and earthwork industry
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Set up and maintain laser levels
• CSTS-20
• WHMIS 2015
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Be self-motivated and dependable
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
